Polypropylene geotextiles
Geotextiles are made out of polypropylene filaments. They are extremely damage resistant and they are characterized by high water permeability and extended resistance to UV light (direct sunlight).
Polypropylene geotextiles – applications:
Polypropylene geogrids
Polypropylene geogrids are made out of high resistance polyester filaments covered with polymer protective coating.
Polypropylene geogrid is an ideal material to be used while working with coarse-grained, cohesive subgrades. It is highly durable for stretching whilst slow creepage. Moreover, it is highly erosion resistant – it does not lose its properties even after several years in humid areas. Also, the polymer coating protects it against the UV light.
Polypropylene geogrids – applications:
• reinforcement of unsupported slopes,
• stabilisation of subgrade in railway construction,
• foundation work,
• bridgeheads,
• hydraulic engineering etc.
